1986 Toyota extended cab 22r motor problem

Hey I have Owened my truck for over 2 years. And I have replace alot of stuff in that time and it only has 130,000 original miles but recently it has has a lot of blow by and burning oil with blue smoke out the tailpipe I think it needs rings any tips on how to slow the oil consumption without putting rings ?

First run a compression test that will tell you a lot. Next try an additive. I ran zmax in my last 85. I know all these things seem like snake oil and they probably are but it seems to work well for me. I had a bad oil leak and would constantly find myself down 2+ quarts of oil. Motor always ran great always had good compression and ran like that for well over 100k miles. I also know Lucas Oil products also come very highly recommended. Good luck.

I tried Lucas oil additive and it still is burning it ill try z Max and get back other you and ran a compression check on valves and all seem to be good except for the 4th one it seemed to leak down could that cause it to burn oil and the blue smoke? Also the plug on that valve always seemed to be burnt up?

That would be my first suspect. Was there a large difference in compression between #4 and the rest? I just woke up so the coffee hasn't kicked in yet but I think you shouldn't have more than a 10% variance between all 4. If I'm wrong I am sure someone will chime in soon
