1977 Toyota Chinook

Hello I just joined this forum , I want to say first of all I am glad to be here I
just purchased my first Toyota . I bought a 1977 Toyota Chinook at a great price because of course it does not run at this time . I was told it has a electrical problem because it does not have any power when you turn the key to the on position . It is a fiberglass camper body on a pick up truck , I was also told it needs a new coil or igniter . I am going to upgrade the ignition with a new distributor and coil and igniter all in one unit from performance distributors .My toyota has the R20 engine/w vac adv and the 4 speed manual trans . with 120 K on the O.D. What I need help with is where are the fusible links located on the 77 truck ?. I understand that there are three links from the battery cable by looking at the schematic . I want and should replace them all . I just wonder if anybody out there ever had to replace them . Any help to locate the links would be greatly appreciated at this time to help things along, there is still some time left before fall and winter to go camping ..Thank you Dee

It is never wise to take a sellers word for why a truck does'nt run.

Don't blindly change out parts. Look at the factory service manual and get a multi=meter and test, test, test.
