3" Tuff Country Easy Ride
Ok, I know I said I wouldn't sacrifice quality for a lower price, but I went with a Tuff Country Easy Ride 3" lift. It should be here in about a week, hopefully by next weekend so I can throw it on and get my truck aligned. How big of tire can I fit under it with the lift? I've got 265/75/16 maxxis mudders under it now, I can go bigger, right? Also, any problems/pains in the butt putting this lift on? It's 3" coil spacer/1 1/2" aal. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks. Also, still looking for any leads on 2-3" cowl induction hoods for 05+ Tacos.

Pain in the @$$
Ok, the lift is on and it was no walk in the park. The hardware that came with the lift was mostly junk. The centering pins for the leaf springs both stripped... not just messed up the threads, they completely stripped. We ran the nuts down and walked away to get different tools and BANG!!!! We didn't know what happened. Both leaf packs flew apart. And the bolt that holds the brake line bracket extension on the rear axle wasn't the right threads. Also, the lift was supposed to be 3" in front and 2" in the rear. The front only lifted 2 1/2" and the rear lifted 3 1/2". So instead of leveling the truck out, it made the back EVEN HIGHER. I'm not very satisfied with this lift. The ride is ok and it definitely hauls more weight, but my truck looks goofy all jacked up in the back. Probably gonna buy taller coils for the front now with new struts. Also, it says new shocks aren't required, but you can't jack the truck all the way or the shocks run out of travel. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LIFT. I'll try and get some pics so you can see what I'm talking about.

truck stance
Thanks guys. The stance has mellowed out some since I've hauled 8 HEAVY loads of firewood with it. I had an 8'x5'x3' Moritz dump trailer heaped with wood and my truck bed heaped with wood and only had 1 1/2" between tire and wheel well. If I didn't have the aal I couldn't have hauled that load. About the leaf packs, luckily my buddy who helped me with the lift had some extra centering pins from something else and we just used those. So everything's good and tight and not flying apart now. But thanks for the good words. I'll get back to you with all the mods I'm about to do. Locker mod, skid plates, fog light mod, different tires and wheels, front light bar or brush guard with some lights.

I'm trying to help my buddy install this same lift on his brand-new 2016 SR5 but there are no instructions included and on Tuff Country's website it says "instructions coming soon". I can figure what everything is meant to be used for except for the pair of silver ~1-3/8x5/8" hex bolts. Not sure if that's the exact size but there are no other bolts in the kit close to that so hopefully you know what I mean. They are the bolts shown in the bottom middle of this picture: http://www.tuffcountry.com/wp-conten...908-tacoma.jpg any idea what these are for?
