100K 4Runner Maintenance
I have a 2008 4WD 4Runner. Mostly Hwy miles, not much 4wd time. I have around 100,000 miles on it. Any suggestions on what or if there is any maintenance I should do at this time? Thanks.

O2 sensor(s) (mainly the upstream one)
coolant
brake lines flush
power steering fluid
well, basically most fluids, the drivetrain stuff is probably fine but for certain check for proper amount and condition. Transmission, is automatic I'm assuming by the year there, I would for certain have that flushed by Toyota. About to do that on my sequoia, it's almost at 70k, really should do that more often.

Spark plugs for certain if they haven't been changed; the iridiums claim to last 100k but I don't trust them that long.
I'm sure I'm missing some, all of those can be done yourself easily except for the tranny flush, I would have that done at a shop so the machine can actually flush out all the old fluid. I would eat the toyota rape just to have OEM fluid but whatever is clever.

battery might be getting down to the end of it's life before long also if it hasn't been changed already...
belt wouldn't be a bad idea either, I'm guessing it has the 1gr-fe (4.0) in it? It's just got one large serpentine belt.
for coolant, use this stuff instead of the rip off Toyota fluid, it's about 1/3 of the price and pretty much the same exact thing:

I would go Denso for the O2 sensor also and avoid the off brands, check out URD's website, I think they still have them for good prices.

Thanks. It is a 4.0 with the automatic. The dealer put a new transmission in it around 30k miles. They also gave me a new battery this past year after I had them rotate the tires and they forgot to put the lug nuts on. I will have them change the transmission fluid. I will change the spark plugs and put on a new drive belt. Not a bad idea on the O2 sensor. Does this motor need the timing chain replaced at about 100k like my 22RE motor in my old Toyota pickup?

starting on 85k service...completed mobile 1 75-90 in diff, transfer and front diff...14 qt tranny flush , toyota longlife antifreeze flush, 2+ gallons, toyota front brake pads, mothers headlight repair kit, michelin wipers....2656018 revos II. should be good for a while...bilsteins for the front next...have done virtually no repairs other than fluids, tires and brakes so far.
