Yukon Locker
Looking for feedback from anyone that has installed or has a Automatic locking Yukon locker. They say the lockup is a lot quieter than Detroit locker. Ive had Detroit auto locker before and sometimes when locking it was quite loud. Marlin says Yukon auto locker is quiet and nothing like the Detroit in terms of the lockup noise but before i purchase the complete diff i want to know if the engagement is really that quiet. Thanx.

My buddy has a 91 4runner on 33's with the yukon grizzly in the rear. It's a sweet locker and is what I will eventually go with. I never hear his locker make any noise and I am usually either right next to him taking pics or right behind him on the trail.

No personal experience with it here, but I have had the same feedback from others when I was searching for lockers. I would choose that or ARB if I was going to lock it.
I've actually decided to keep the truck as a DD and install LSDs when I regear though

I have had the locker for a while now when it engages its not really noticeable but it does have the occasional buck and kick like most which I have gotten used to. All in all it's cool but if I could go back I would have rather done a selectable for the dd aspect, I mean I have a work vehicle supplied so I don't drive it much but if I had a job where I drove to work and back I would take it out sell it and buy a selectable.
Sorry I really didn't answer your question yes it is pretty quiet, it ratchets with no torque around corners but no big deal, price is always a factor in lockers and for the price it is great, I had a Detroit in my blazer and it was a pretty big smack when it engaged.

Does having an automatic locker of any kind in your rear drastically change the way you drive your rig?
