Yn67 front end clicking from driveshaft area under load
Hey guys,
Having issues with my 86 yn67 single cab. When in 4wd with the hubs locked in, under load, there is a distinct clicking sound coming from the front driveshaft area, the clicking sound is in-sync with the turning of the driveshaft, here's the thing, I have had three different driveshafts on trying to resolve the problem, ranging from one I had fully rebuilt with heavy duty unis and the ball joint in the double cardan rebuilt, after this I found the sound was less when I first took it out driving, then the sound gradually came back to where it started about 3 drives later, I then sourced a brand new shaft and installed this, but the sound is still there, I have dropped transfer case and diff oils to check for metal, the sound doesn't get any worse when turning from full lock to full lock, which rules out cvs. I'm wondering if anyone has had an issue similar as I am running out of ideas without pulling transfer case or diff to bits, it sounds like its the shaft but three different shafts and although the sound has altered between the shafts, it's still there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Cheers
