reg cab/short bed trucks used shorter frame then the x-cab trucks, or reg cab/long box trucks.
You will have to proibly weld rear mounts for the cab, and shorten your bed..

Yup yup. Got that far, I was giong to take as much off as I could drop my 3" BL to a 1" and trim up another 2- 2 1/2" off fender wells. Just wondering if the gastank fits and all that jazz. Any one come across any buildup on this?
Thanks for the answers so far.

that would be neat look'n I think, if done right
kinda like Chevy's doing with their full-size PU's; 4 door, and a shorter bed
granted the Toy wont be 4-door (unless you're inporting it ), but it would still look cool IMO

I think it's a cool idea. The Extended cab is not comfortable for passengers so extending a regular cab to a double would create some nice passenger/storage space.
Wait.......wouldn't it be easier to chop the top off a 4Runner?

the horsecollar crossmember may be a little close to the floorboard on the swap for just a 1" body lift might want to keep it 1.5" or that is the case with the 84 to 89 body style. urs may be different. do the swap with the 3 " first before u cut it down.

If someone is really desperate, there's a shop around here (Fort Collins, CO) that has some Nissans that look exactly like that as well as a few toyotas. It's a repair shop, not a dealer, but I'm sure they'll sell them. The owner is using them for parts while he builds up his own.
