wiring up in flames........
So I went out to start my 95 runner the other day and it only turn over but not fired. Thats when I noticed the smoke coming from the hood. I tore into it today and fount that one of the wires from my EFI relay that wraps all the way to the other side of the bay and splices then grounds out was compleatly burned up, I'm talkin bare wire burned up. But it only burned up to the ground point. Any input on why this would have happened? I'm going to try and just replace the wire that fried and salvage the rest. Any advice? Thanks so much.

tracing down wiring short's can be a PITA sometimes...
best bet is to follow that wire ALL THE WAY THROUGH and make sure you find out if your short was right there at that wire that burnt up, or somewhere else, cause obviously you'll want to fix the short before you try and turn the key again
oh and a continuity tester will be your best friend when tracing shorts too

Its possible that your EFI relay went bad and grounded out, thats my guess, sometimes when relays go bad they just quit working, but they can go bad and ground out, and that may be what happened to you.
