i need a harness for a 88 4runner and i was wondering if anybody knows if you can use one out of a third gen pick up

You can use one out of Prius but you are going to have to match plugs and pins regardless.

No. Nothing will be a complete direct replacement unless same make model and year.

I have an 88 as well and the 88 is an odd ball year. The injectors have a different impedance then the rest, just cant recall right off if it is more or less. To widen your search for a harness, go with a different year and the computer off of a parts runner.
