Windshield compatability between pickup generations
How interchangeable are windshield between generations? I've got an 86 4x4 xtracab and I need a new windshield. I've got two donor trucks which are a 93 and a 94. Both single cab 4x4. Are the windshields all the same or are they slightly different?

I actually had an 89 2wd pickup that I had a new windshield put into and for some reason that truck had a slightly smaller windshield and a large thick rubber gasket holding it in place. The brand new windshield was probably 1/2" larger all around. The local windshield guy was confused over it. We ended up ordering a more typical oem trim for the windshield and ditched the original one. Was kind of odd. So I know there are exceptions even within generations for some reason. I don't know how rare this was though.
