whats bad in my front end!!?? axleshaft support bearings?
hey guys! so i have a vibration.
i got under my truck a couple days ago and wiggled my cv's and they are good, but the flange that they bolt to is what has the play...
the "side gear shafts" (inbord part of flange) is what is bad, but in my hanes manual it says nothing about and bearings or bushings or anything supporting that extension housing flange...
anyone catching my drift?
been to advance, auto zone online, rockauto online, and cant find anything...
thanks!

This help any?
http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...23disassem.pdf
The flanges clip inside the differential which is in turn held by the bearings in the 3rd member. The drivers side has a bearing out at the end as well. I'd verify the clips are seated well before diving into anything else since if they're broken or not seated the flange can wobble.

thanks for the post!
i see what your saying about the clips, but even in your photo, on the drivers side, just to the left of one of the two c clips there is an object that seems to resemble a roller bearing.. but there is no name...?
dealer only? (

page 8 of the PDF references it as LH Gear Shaft Bearing but no part number given.
maybe it's the same as Timken #B30- front axle shaft bearing on autozone and rock?

this still dosent solve anything for the passengers side though... edit: i just now noticed that your on the non add page. i have an add truck. ive got to get to sleep, but after a quick glance their seems to be a couple extra needle bearings in the diff chunck itself.. see attached thumbnails.. first one mainly.. those needle bearing seem to be what the inner most part of the "side gear shafts ride on..." agreed?
theirs either none or like a 2wd dlx in all of the junk yards around me. and if i am lucky enough to find a 4wd its stripped of both its 4.88 chuncks and disconnect hubs and all the jucy stuff...
thanks for the replys guys!
