I put it in the cab befor the rebuild so i could mount it later. It's gone I Put it in the back of the cab. Now Poof. What is it called ... So i can buy another one.

Yea I found it It was in a box with my cargo net.... I forgot i cleaned out my truck..( i was going to have a flake fix it for me but he is/was a flake so i it did it all my self.)

Toyota has crazy names for some of its parts. I'd be surprised if it's still available. I tried ordering ones for my 4Runner and it took the order but it later cancelled saying they are unavailable. Most people call it B pillar molding. I think Terry87 has instructions on how to get it off on one of his many builds. There are several clips that hold it on that always break. I used a flat plastic interior tool, like a plastic putty knife, to get it off my 4Runner. They are different between 4Runner and truck. The part should be cheap at the junkyard if you don't break it. IIRC you try to slide it down and then to the right to disengage different clips. This is the page for 4Runner molding. I was going to fabricate one if i could not get one.
I was going to make a latex mold of the other one and make a resin casting. Then dremel it out to match up the vents. And Glue it on.

Just so I will have the numbers at a future time. It take 2 clips PN# 62955-89101 for the top and middle of the side trim. 1 clip at the bottom of the trim PN#62955-91C01. They look similar but are not interchangable. No way of getting them out without breaking them. They have to be replaced. 4Runners use twice as many of the above clips. Prices are reasonable at Toyota but you maybe able to find them on ebay or an autobody parts store.


I put a dab of super glue to help hold the rubber strips on. Not needed but it is such a small amount and it keeps them from sliding down and easier to install. There is a little lip that sticks out. Pay attention to how you remove the rubber strip to install it right.

RAD4Runner

While you have the quarter vents accessible, you might as well replace the rubber slats to keep water out of there.

I used thin rubber sheet from store on mine (here), but you may be able to use mountain bike tire inner tube.
