Ok so am currently in the middle of adding a total 4 inch suspension lift to my 94 extra- cab, which already has a 3 inch body lift. I would like to run 35's when its all said and done, and can't quite figure out what i need for wheels, my main question will my stock wheels work or should i take this opportunity to upgrade them? and if so any suggestions to reduce rubbing?

I don't have any experience with tires larger than 33's but I would think you would need wider wheels than your stock ones.

If you look online at the specs of whatever tires you have, it will tell you the recommended tire width - I would go by that.

Other than that, lets wait for the older model guys to chime in and see what they say.

My ProComp 4" Bracket lift required new wheels. The spindler adapater wouldn't fit wheels with more that 3.75" backspacing and I think the stock Steelies were around 4"+? I could be wrong though. I would check with the lift manufacturer on the backspacing. (Or post what brand so that others with that specific lift could comment)

Not sure what you would need specifiically for the 35's as I'm only running 32x11.50's.

i know the stock rims wont fit on a 4inch drop bracket lift but what size wheel spacer should i got to mount a stock rim... 1.25inch???

You want an 8" or 9" rim for 35x12.50...

I would offer more advice, but I'm still trying to get over why in the world you would want a 4" AND a 3" BL for "only" 35's ... EITHER by themselves would be enough ...

backspacing is what you need to know, not offset. though the two are related, they aren't always the same. offset is related to the width of the rim when compared to the rim's hub mounting surface and backspacing is how far the inside of the rim is from the rim's hub mounting surface.
An 8" wide rim with 0 offset (the hub mounting surface is exactly in the middle of the rim) would have backspacing of 4". An 8" wide rim with +1" (the hub mounting surface is exactly one inch closer to the outer side of rim) offset would have 5" backspacing (5" from the hub mating surface to the inner edge of the rim). An 8" wide rim with -1" offset (the hub mounting surface is exactly one inch closer to the inner side of rim) would have 3" backspacing (3" from the hub mating surface to the inner edge of the rim).
If you can wrap your head around that, wider rims don't always change the offset. A 6" wide rim with 3" backspacing has 0 offset and an 8" wide rim with 4" backspacing also has 0 offset.
In our world, rim size plays a large part in offest requirements: what would rub with a 15" rim and 4" backspacing may not rub with a 16" rim and 14" backspacing since the rim is 1/2" farther away (in the vertical direction) with the 16" rim than with the 15".

The discussion is endless: larger diameter rims may not need the backspacing to clear suspension components that smaller / stock rims would need.

reading your post again, if you're going to stick with the stock diameter wheels, you'll have to run at most 3.75 (3.5 looks better since it pushes the wheels a bit farther out) backspacing on your wheels to clear a 4" IFS suspension lift.

well the 4 inch lift its self im doing with some repairs i have to make to the suspension after some gal rearended me, the 3 inch body lift was on the truck.

abecedarian i really like your info, i always find it informaitive, btw im my prvious thead conserning the lift, finally got cash in the pocket to order parts, im hoping i can get all my ducks in a row and get this thing rolling in lets say two weeks

I run 15x8 steelies with 3.75" backspacing on all my early model Toyotas with no problems.
