Werid, Clutch wont release & no pedal movement

Truck has sat for 3 months. Went to start today to charge the batt(below 0' outside). After it ran for 10 min, I went to put the clutch pedal in and it wouldnt move. Nothing, hard as a rock. But the shifter goes into all the gears and truck wont move. I let it run longer, thinking it might be frozen, but no luck. Never had this problem before and there are no leaks anywhere or goofy noises being made. Truck has original clutch with 150k miles on it. I searched other posts, but couldnt find one that had no pedal movement.

Any suggestions? Hope you guys can help.
Thanks

Update: I opened the slave, pedal moved to the floor. Re-bleed system, pedal right back to no movement. No diff. Jacked up rear and spinned tires, hoping to break free the clutch, no help. Let truck warm up for another 30 min, no help.

Any ideas on troubleshooting this problem?

Has it been quite a while since the system was flushed?

I bet the Dot 3 has absorbed enough water to have frozen. Just a guess though.

is the pedal frozen or is the pivot arm that engages the clutch frozen... or do u just have a blockage somewhere.

The pedal will not go down at all, tried with force.
Tried moving the pivot arm, but not enough force with my hand.
Should I be able to move by hand?
Bleed the slave with a hand vaccuum pump. Fluid was dirty but not frozen.
Ran the truck aleast a hour, should have warmed up by then anyway.

I have searched the entire internet on this, cant find any info on this problem.
Just hoping I dont have to drop the trans.

i have had slaves get water in them and freeze before, a couple of times. you can use a map torch to try warming it and see if that helps or just replace it to eliminate. clutch disk could be frozen to flywheel and rusted but that is less likely, if that is the case i would also try starting in gear a couple times to try and shock the clutch loose, just dont run anything over.

The only way the truck will start now is if I push the clutch delete switch.
I can keep the truck in any gear at start and just sitting running, but nothing happonds.
I believe the clutch is frozen to the flywheel. I didnt see any access panels on the trans when I was down there. So the only way to verify this is to remove the trans?

If I remove the slave, should I be able to move the pivot arm by hand? If I cant does that mean its the clutch or pressure plate?

Thanks for the help.

are you saying you can start the truck in gear and it does not move? like the gear is no there? that would lead me to believe you have bigger problems than just a frozen clutch.
as for the pivot arm it is really to much force to move by hand, if you remove the rubber boot some times you can get a pry bar in there to try and move the pivot arm/ see inside the bell housing.

Its like the trans is stuck in netural, because I can put it any gear while the truck is running without touching the clutch(even though I cant push it down)and it does nothing.

I pulled the truck with another truck trying to break free something. No luck
Tried moving the rod with pliers on the slave and sprayed with wd40, wouldnt move.
pivot arm wont moved with pry bar.

Dont know what else to troubleshoot. Maybe just buy a new slave and master??

its could only be a couple of things....You said when you opend the slave bleed valve it moved and went to the floor. So your problem lies with the slave cyl, clutch fork, or clutch. just an idea what are the chances the clutch is frozen in the disengaged position??

Yes, when I opened the slave the pedal went to the floor.

That is what I think has happend, the clutch is frozen in the disengaged position.
Question is know, how do I un-freeze it? I tried reving the engine for a couple min's yesterday with no help.

All I know is that If I have to removed the trans, all the bolts for the crossmember are rusted in there. They will have to be torched off, not gonna be fun at all.

Any other ideas on how to free up the clutch??

get a drill and some good drill bits/a grinder and /drimell tool

if you dont wanna use a torch

if i were you i would try pull starting your truck with a tow rope or something and see if that will break it loose..

I tried pulling it, it like it's in netural.
I also jacked up the tires and put it in gear, tires spin like its netural, no resistance.
