Exclamation water in 88 v6 automatic trans

got water in my trans how do i drain all the fluid out of it.

If there's no drain plug you will have to drop the pan.

How did you get water in it in the first place?

All toyota Truck and 4Runner pans of that generation have drain plugs (stock)

Just pulling the drain plug with only drain about 1/3rd of the ATF. You'll need to do multiple flushes to get all the water out.

if it is a manual u dont have to do a full flush i dont think.

Yep. Gonna need to flush that thing out. There is ALOT of fluid in there...

yea i only flushed it once and only got 4 quarts out the truck will not go n to gear and i belive its because of the load of water in it. i got it in there 2 weekends ago when i hit a hole doin 40 and got water in my motor and trans.
