W56 main shaft center bearing

So i am sort of rebuilding a w56 trans. I am going to replace the outer most bearings (countershat input and output, main shaft input and output). The output is in bad shape.

Does anyone have experience with the main shaft center bearing that is in the cast center section? Are they usually NG? I really dont want to pull all the gears off. Trying to get a few more years out of this trans. Shifts good just whines.
