vibration rumbles whole truck low speeds please help
ok so i just got my truck runnin the other day. i have been driving around my house and it has been driving fine up until today. if i just move it a few feet by letting the clutch out a little there is no vibration if i rev the engine there is no vibration. it starts to vibrate just as i'm letting the clutch out all the way, all the way to the top of first, and at the bottom of second and third, i havn't got into forth or fifth cause all i'm doing is driving around town. at the top of second and third it's not so bad if i let go of the gas at the top of second or third it's not so bad. if i rev it real low and take my sweet time letting the clutch out i can almost get it not to vibrate but right at the top of first it vibrates no matter what i do and at the bottom of second. one thing i should add is that i don't have the brackets for the bottom tranny to engine bolts. i am going to see if the mounting bolts have shaken loose and see if i can tighten the tranny mount but i thought i should post this cause it vibrates the whole truck and it does not sound good please help
thanks, Drew

Definitely want to get those bolts/brackets in there. Does the truck vibrate when rolling along at speed and in neutral? If so, might be your u-joints. If not, might be that you need to have your flywheel resurface?

it does not vibrate when coasting in neutral. does the flywheel resurfacing make sense for it to be fine for a couple of days then today this happens

Sorry, much needed sleep. To answer your question, a dramatic change as you describe does not make sense unless something has come loose. I would put the brackets on and fasten them down tight first. If the vibration is still there, you may want to look at your u-joints. The lower gears provide more torque and are under heavier load so it would make sense to me that the vibration is more severe. As you get up to speed, you are putting less bind on the driveshaft and the u-joints flex out of round less? Just replaced my u-joints a while back while hunting down a vibration. They were stock and had 170K on them. Past due!

haha i feel dumb it turns out i didn't tighten the u-bolts all the way when i put the rear suspension together a while back cause i wasn't sure if i was gonna take the leafsprings off again. i'm glad it wasn't the u-joints i just spent like $20 bucks on amsoil grease to prevent those things from going I swear every time i'm on yotatech i hear something about u joints. when i greased them black grease came out! I was so happy to get that stuff outta there
