very mysterious coolant leak 22r

On my 86 i noticed a dried up stream of coolant under the exhaust manifold but it gets wet and then drys, but i can see that the stream stops before it reaches the head. only on block is the stream and it starts right where the little coolant pipe is that carrys the coolant to the heater core but i felt of the pipe and its not leaking. This has me worried that my block is leaking but i dont think it is the freeze plugs. its between the two on that side i think! What could it be?? help

Here's a hint: whenever you remove a hose, clean the surface of the pipe, and put some Permatex form-a-gasket #2, non-hardening gasket sealer on the joint... its the black greasy kind of stuff... not silicone... if you use this stuff, you dont have to sooooper-tighten your clamps, and it seals better.
** post a pic of your leaky area **

The only opening to the water jacket on the exhaust side is the drain that is at the back side of the block. If you have drippage coming from under the manifold... in the middle... then it is probably a headgasket....
