valve tick question.

94 22re 214,xxx miles. Runs ok, no smoke, no bubbles in coolant, no milkshake. However it has developed a ruff idle. It runs fun while driving. and I noticed that the valves have began to tick while driving also but only while driving. Not at idle. The 02 sensor needs to be replaced also. So is it ok to assume that the valves being out of adjustment and a bad 02 sensor is contributing to a ruff idle.

If the 02 sensor is bad it will have a big effect on performance. So replace the 02 sensor, and buy an OEM Denso 02 sensor, Bosch 02 sensors don`t work well in toyotas. When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced ?, you might want to do it as well. Have you ever had the timing chain and guides replaced ?.
