Valve Adjustment
For my 1988 22RE EFI, can i adjust the valves at .007(intake) and .011(exhaust) while the motor is cold? I know I have have to adjust the valves while the motor is at running temp but its a PITA cuz its so hot. Manual calls for .008(intake) and .012(exhaust) but ive read about people on hear stepping it down to the first set of measurment i typed when its cold. Any quick input would be awsome, i want to get this done today. Ill just do it hot like i usually do if nobody pipes in quick

First of all sorry about the horrible quality, not my camera and its in a plastic rapping still
These are the new grommets that came with the pack, Do they look right? they dont really look like the ones i had? They seem pretty wide to go in the VC there. I dont want to take them out of the wrapping otherwise we cant bring them back,
And here is the old one that i pulled out, its pretty chewed up

The ones in the bag look like mine. I have never seen anything like the grommet you are holding. Weird.

Grommets sitting on top of holes
These ones are different than the ones i used, the diameter is alot bigger than the holes in the VC, is the extra rubber sposed to squish down or what?

Haha, well me and my buddy ended up having a few beer when i posted those last pics, we are doing this outside and there isnt enough light now, do u think it would be ok to leave the motor open without the valve cover for the night, its kinda cold out but not cold enough to freeze yet?
