vacuum troubles?
I have an 88 4runner with a 22re with ac and ps, I am finishing with a rebuild on the motor and putting the last few things together and I didn't do a good enough job labeling vacuum hoses, I have searched yotatech and a few other sites and got most of them sorted out, but have a few I still cant get. On every other pic I have seen of the valve cover there are only two electrical things that are plugged in that have vac hoses going to them, mine has three. I took a picture of all three and then a close up of the one I am not sure what it is. I know the first one is for the ac and the one in the rear is for the fuel pressure regulator, I am semi-sure on most of the vac lines, but if anyone sees something that isn't right let me know and if anyone can tell me what the middle electrical connector is it would help me out greatly, thanks!

ok I did what 4crawler did with the fpr vsv and removed it, my ac vsv has a line broken off of it so I think it will leak because I cant get a hose or cap over where it broke off, If I don't plan on using the ac can I cap off the hoses at the TB?

Should go to the EGR modulator, a Factory Service Manual would show that connection, you would need an FSM later than the '85 version since that one has the bimetal switching valve (BVSV) but I would assume the BVSV connection to the modulator would be the same as the one the later VSV hooks to.

I think this is where it should be going to, the AS Reed Valve, not for sure, can't find an 88 FSM link and the hard copy I have is for an 86? http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=579557
Not sure how to get the link and can't get the pic in there so here is the site where the pic for the 88 is.
