Vacuum Line on 3vze

I recently picked up a '90 4Runner with a 3.0/auto for pretty cheap. Ive been doing alot of research trying to figure out a few of the problems with it and to also help fix it up.

I am blown away with how many vacuum lines are on this thing (first Toyota). Im pretty sure even the muffler bearing and blinker fluid are connected by a vacuum line lol. Anyways, I have a line that is plugged near the intake. Ive searched for diagrams and pictures, but what I have found is no diagram shows this line. Here is a picture of what Im talking about.

It seems not all models have this line, does anyone know what it goes too?

This is my first post on this forum, but Ive been lurking for a while, even before I joined. I have intentions on buiding my 4R into a trail/hunting rig. We like to hit some mud at times, but we have other toys that are built for that. I would eventually like to SAS it and do a 4.3 swap (as Im a GM fan).

Just found some other threads. Seems like that line that is closed to the EFI tag (the line that is pointed away from the pic) is suppose to be plugged, and the plugged line on mine is suppose to be connected to there. I wonder if that will cause some issues. I am going to swap it around this evening, unless anyone has any other advice.

That's the Purge port. Which connects to the EVAP charcoal canister.

As for the other port that's "supposed to be plugged", it might not be. Just because someone else's is, or it's shown that way in a pic/diagram(as above), doesn't mean it's "supposed to be plugged". They obviously put it there for a reason. I'm just not entirely sure what that reason is. My 88 doesn't even have that port on the TB. Which means it could be for the A/C idle up, or ADD actuator, or some other damn thing mine never had.

Anywho, it shouldn't be too hard to follow the line(s) to where it connects to whatever apparatus. If that be the EVAP canister, then it's been rerouted(to the "supposed to be plugged" port).

Thanks for the help. I guess I shouldnt have worded it as suppose to be plugged. From the post I read, it was plugged on all the ppl's vehicles that commented. I agree with it the fact that its there for a reason. If its the AC, thats okay. At some point in time, all the AC lines were disconnected. As much as I would love to have AC here in Louisiana for the summertime, I think Ill just roll with my 5-55s lol. Im not putting $800+ into an AC system on a truck that I only paid $800 for lol.

Thanks again for the help.
