Utility 1st Gen 4Runner rear seat install questions

What exactly does it take in parts and labor to properly install a rear seat into a 4Runner that never had rear seats in it?

Pics to come.

Which one, the regular deluxe bench or the sr5 split?

its like 10 bolts you have to remove for the split seat, just take em out and install in your truck where you removed from the one at the yard.

shouldnt take more than 20-30 mins with hand tools

Toyota is really good about predrilling and every model pretty much comes predrilled/threaded the same. So you should be able to pull seats out of the same generation 4rnr and swap them into yours without to much fuss.

Hey Levis, when I get home from work, I will shoot some photos. I just took my rear seat out yesterday on a 89 SR5. Getting ready to line it.

If you go with the sr5 split, make sure you get the metal loops (where the backs lock in place) on the side panels. You will have to cut the panels so they can stick out. There are holes for the lap belts. I prefer shoulder belts attached to the roll bar. Front belts fit in the back.

My DLX had lap belts in all three rear seats, I did the same set up to replace them.
