Truck wouldn't go into gear

88 Toyota pickup 22RE 4wd-I was playing in the woods and I came to a stop and tried to put it in gear and it wouldn't go into any gear. Also when I tried to put it in reverse the gears grinded. The truck wasn't rolling forward and I could get it in gear with the truck off. Also new clutch about 6 months ago. Weird thing is this morning it wasn't doing it. Could heat have affected something? Any thoughts as to what is causing this?

Likely some sort of hydraulic failure.

Got any fluid in the clutch master cylinder reservoir??

Fill, bleed and go from there.

Yes I do. It is not the prettiest color though? Could it be the slave master cylinder?

clutch MC and slave cyl should be done at the same time. they sometimes go internally with no exterior signs of failure. first try simply flushing and bleeding the system to see if some debris from a seal got stuck

look under the bell housing at the clutch arm, see if it moves while someone is pressing the clutch pedal in the cab.

Alright thanks I'll just go ahead and replace both of those!
