Truck Died When I Used the Wipers??
Hi all! So like the title of the thread says, my '86 22R 4x4 died the other morning when I used the wipers after I let it warm up to defrost the windshield. Shocked the hell outta me, honestly, and then I couldn't get it restarted. It cranked just fine and was getting fuel, so I'm thinking the spark somehow quit working. I put a new distributor cap, wires, plugs, etc in it right at a year ago and have never had any issues. It never even showed any signs that it was having spark problems. What do you all think it could be? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

Dead battery. If a source sucks a battery "dry" then there is not enough power to feed the alternator and the ignition, or something else, can drain the last bit of storage and cut off the engine.
Batteries can be fickle and exhibit good power one day and let you down the next day. If its over 36 months old consider yourself lucky. Once they discharge, they need to be deep charged to restore its power. The alternator or a 6 amp trickle won't get it.
