Transmission / Transfer case leak

I have a slow dripping leak coming from either the transmission or the transfer case. I have to fill up my transmission every other day Its coming from the rear pan (pan closes to the rear end).

In the photo the pan on the right is leaking. It's not coming from the drain plug, Its more coming from up higher somewhere and its leaking down and dripping off the pan. Any ideas? Thanks.

Yuck! You need to clean that first. Clean enough to eat from. Get some spray degreaser and a garden hose.

Only once it's sparkling clean can you find a leak. Gravity is not your friend; a leak from anywhere makes its way down and back, so everything looks like it's coming from he transfer case.
