Transmission Temperature Controled?

Ive owned my 1994 Toyota 4runner for about three years, its been running great but not to long ago i had some sensors go out. First the O2 Sensor, then the EGR sensor. I replaced them but then noticed that it takes longer for my transmission to shift when i drive it in the morning or when its cooled down after awhile. I noticed when driving that my transmission would shift when the temperature guage hit right in the center, EVERYTIME. What happens is when im driving at lets say 60mph im running at 3500 rpms, after it warms up and the guage hits the middle, it drops to about 2500 rpms. Is that normal or if not any ideas on what might have caused that?

Yep, totally normal. Overdrive is 'locked out' until your engine reaches normal operating temp.
