Will a transmission from a yota 1993 5 speed fit on an 1985 yota 4x4? Please help I have one and before I put it in I need to know what to change or if the tranny will bolt right up. Someone please help.

If you are talking a 22RE then it will, as I have done it. You will have to cut the floor a bit though (depending on what trans is in the 85). The shifters are set forward 2-3 inches or so and will hit the end of the floor cut out. Other then that they are a direct bolt in. I did a 92 trans into a 88.

Oh ya, you will also have to pull some of the sensors out of the old trans and put them in the new because the wire plugs are different, sensors are the same though.

I have a 5 speed in my truck now. But it pops out of first gear when I let off the gas so I know it needs a rebuild. A buddy has the 92 sitting and I would rather just pop it in then rebuild mine.
Thing is the 93 trans was in a 2 wheel drive and mine is 4x4 so should be just the transfer case bolting on the new trans. Just want to make sure there are no problems fitting them together. If I have to trim the floor board that is no biggie.
