Transmission O/D light flashing

I have a 1992 4runner 3.0 with the 2wd automatic (A340e)Transmission.

Anyway, the transmission was toast. It made alot of Noise when it was cold at startup, then the noise slowly went away, Oil smelt burnt and...No Go in Anygear what so ever, not even trying to move. O/D off light flashing consistanly about every 2 seconds, and not a pattern either to depict a code, or soloniod, just consistanly flashing,...

So I got a good used Tranny and Torque converter swapped everything out, Noise went away and everythings sounds like normal, but still NO GO in any gear (fluid level is checked and full) and O/D off light still flashing consistanly about every 2 seconds, no pattern again, just consistanly flashing...

Any suggestions on where to start trouble shooting?Or ideas?
Thanks
tom-

Yes codes were cleared, well during the swap the battery was unhooked for a couple days, so im guessing they were cleared, but I CANT even tell what codes where what? The way the OD/off flashes is just consistant about every 2 seconds, which tells me NOTHING, since there is no fast flashes or pauses?

Does Anyone know what a consistant flashing O/D light means?? I cant find that anywhere?

And again, my symptoms is like I dont even have a transmission at all, Usually when you put it into gear, the trucks rpms will drop a little, and the truck will want to move , IM getting nothing!!! NOthing at all in either fwd or Reverse, Its gotta be something electrical???????

Used trans, Maybe. Used converter, never. The converter is a cheap enough part to replace with new whenever its off. Did you put a quart of fluid in the converter?
Unplug the ect, and see what happens.
Where did you get the trans? Maybe it has the same issues you was having.

IIRC, you have to put a jumper in the diagnostic plug, turn the key on, then push the o/d button so the o/d is off, then you get the codes for the trans on the o/d light.

/me is feeling hazy- 2/3rds of a 5th of black velvet will tend to do that.

In the Supra community, a constantly flashing light is referred to as a "Code 0". It's a fault internal to the ECU.

Your transmission computer might be bad. You can test it by unplugging the transmission computer. You should be able to manually shift the tranny from 1->3->OD by running through 1->2->D

Make sure you're jumpering the transmission check connector jumpered. Also, if you have a multimeter, and FSM, there's a whole bunch of checks you can do with the FSM
