Transmission is not shifting while, driving, only in park???
Well, guys I don't smoke cigarettes, I need one, two now. I just put a brand new clutch in my 91 22 re, exited about a test drive and it doesn't want to go in gears while driving. When I put it in park with the clutch in or not it goes into gear find. Please tell me I don't have to drop the transmission again. Help thanks.

I only hope your just excited if you can put your Transmission in Park I can`t see how you have installed a clutch .
You meant to say Neutral Not Park !!!
Did you compare all the New Parts with the old parts ??
Except for wear they should have been the same !!
Did you forget to install the clutch fork with the clutch release bearing ??
Maybe Knock it off getting the transmission in place ??
Have the transfer case in neutral??
Forgot to install the driveshafts ??
I have done that a few times so glad to get the transmission in only to look and see the drive shaft standing beside the tool box

I would check to see if the slave cylinder is good. Seems like once I pull a transmission, the slave cylinder fails afterwards. Now when I do a clutch I just replace the slave cylinder.

Terrys87, I bled the slave cylinder to no avail. I'll drop the tranny, and do the inspection, you suggest changing the cylinder? Thanks!

Well guys, I ended up, dropping the tranny, making sure the push out fork was sitting well with the push out bearing. This is what I did. 1. Changed the clutch slave an master cylinder, adjusted the clutch pedal. And it's been shifting in all gears pretty well. Thanks for the help guys. Love Yota world.
