Transmission Help-88 Truck w/ 5 Speed
Could anyone tell me what 5 speed manual transmission would be in a 1988 Toyota pickup with either the 22r or the 22r-e. I have searched the net and can't find a straight answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know the exact designation for it, but I'm pretty sure I have the same tranny in my 87 runner. Your best bet is to do a search on here for 86-95 toyota transmissions. Or shoot a message to my buddy seanmearse, we just replaced two transmissions in his truck so I'm positive he knows what type of tranny you have.
Is yours having problems or do you just need to know the designation code?
