Toyota fuel injection

I have had this link for a while and just came across it again. May be posted somewhere but a good read for newbies.

Kind of cool... approaching about 85% correct, Some factual and maybe semantic errors.
Shut up and leave me alone: I'm drunk and saw errors so I don't know why sober people / persons (particularly the one who wrote it) missed them.

It lost my respect when it said there were 3 signals from the distributor.
Correct me if I'm wrong but TCCS started in 89 and the distributor from the 22re gave 1 signal (it only had one pick-up coil and one rotor with 4 lobes... can't bet more than 4 signals per 2 crank revolutions...)...
3vze had 6 lobes on one coil and 30 lobes on the other rotor.
Someone PLEASE inform and request the author to at LEAST dilineate the engines referenced... Please!!!

sory, what?

..isn't listing the concept of parsimony 3 times un-parsimonious?

Do I get 200 for passing GO?

but you should get what I mean- 4 lobes... and maybe I misspoke- for each crank revolution you'll get 2 pulses from the distrubtor on a 22re.

Critical thinking is not only a requirement of the one making a fool of himself but applies just as well to those desiring to make a fool of the one in question.

...hmm... maybe another self-inflicted quote.

Either...

1) prove I'm wrong, and by extension the article is correct.
2) prove I'm correct, and by extension the article is wrong.
3) prove there's enough doubt to cause the article to be questioned but take no side.

Don't know about the later gen 4Rs, but the FI on the first gens used gang-bang injectors rather than sequential FI.

This is not for a 22re it is for a different engine but is close to a standard Toyota fuel injection. This is for a 16V engine that was in the newer celica but is close enough for troubleshooting or basic understanding.
