Exclamation towing with 35s

I searched for a answer to my question but didn't find anything so here goes. I'm about to make a trip from ny to nc about 750 miles and i want to pull a 3000lb car with my 4runner. Do you guys think it will be ok? I have a eletirc fan, ISR mod, supra VAFM mod, advanced timing to 12 deg its a 3.0 5 speed 4.88 gears.

no IMO, your brakes are already being asked to stop tires that are are least 4" taller than what it might have came stock with.

Can the truck pull 3K, sure. Question is how long.

The 5 speed is a plus. That will keep radiator (and engine) temp down and will help with stopping by down shifting.

Dolly or full trailer?

I pulled a 3300 lbs car and the trailer was around 700, for a 600 mile round trip 22re 31's stock gears the trailer had surge brakes and stopping was still scary. When I got back my rotors where warped and the clutch was gone. I would defianty rent or borrow a fullsize truck if I did it again.

If you had smaller tires my answer would have been "yes" - 35's are already stressing the drivetrain without the added towing load
