It depends on how fast you want to go. At 70mph my old 3.0 couldn't tow itself, but drop down to 3rd gear and it was ok.

if its an auto i think you could do 60-70 just fine..i've towed a 15ft alumnium boat that speed and it wasn't very hard at all...of course it doesn't weigh 3100 lbs either...

if it helps, i towed a buick across town, maybe 7 miles. It was pretty heavy, in the area of 3500 lbs. we didn't get going very fast but it was redlights all the way there.

I towed an 18 foot trailor with a 4-wheeler a few deer stands and about 200 lbs of corn. I didn't have to much trouble but you could really feel it on the hills. You can do it but just don't expect to do it very fast. This is really one of the few down sides to these 4-runner's they have just enough power to get you by.

is the vette on a trailer or dolly?

Personally, I would not do it. I've towed an 85 4Runner w/ a 94. Bad ju-ju. Could you do it? sure. Not wise.

Probably be better to tow the truck with the Vette, LOL.

Cancel overdrive and only use it when you have reached cruising speed and are on fairly level road. Don't use overdrive on hills. The first thing to go in most autos is the high clutch. You should also have an aftermarket transmission cooler and completely by-pass the radiator cooler.

with the weight of a trailer, you would be at 6000, unless iyour are using a tow dolly. Tow dolly, and corvette....
Look into the ebay vehicle moving companies. I looked into moving a trailer, it wasn't that expensive to have moved, but that is a lot different from a corvette

What's the corvette going to be ON? and how much does that weigh?

Yes, it can be done, then again, most 3.slows are lucky to tow themselves.
I'd be a tough haul that's for sure. If the Toy's got any weak spots you'll be sure to find them.

Better off towing the Toy w/ the Vette.
