tow 91 mr2 turbo with 91 4wd pickup
Is this possible? Is it a good idea? I'd like to do this with a UHaul car transport trailer, one of the ones that would entirely load the mr2, so mr2 has 4 wheels on trailer. What are your thoughts on this?

It's been suggested that the dolly would be preferred over the trailer for my adventure, but the tow car has cranky tires, and I worry about a blowout, or a flat during the tow, and would feel safer putting it all the way up on a trailer.
I'm just concerned that I may run into problems with the trailer and was wondering if anyone has experience with this particular combination and can lend input.

Well if you have a brake controller in your truck, that should make things much safer. Again, good luck with the haul. Sometimes U-Haul wont rent out equipment to you if they feel your rig can't handle the load. Just something to keep in mind.

I'm aware that they do that, I'm not too worried about that from UHaul, I just want to make sure the truck is capable of it before I sign myself up for trouble. The trailer has a brake controller, by means of the tongue actuating it.

Be nice to know just where you are going and how far.
The extra weight of the trailer leads me to say no. Having done this the better part of 30 years .
I myself have towed 4x4 Toyota Pickups with my 87 4Runner on a tow dolly. I think the trailer is just to much added weight .
Then again I don`t know if you can tow a MR2 with the rear wheels on the ground you might have to load it nose to the rear.
I pull the rear driveshafts on the truck or you will destroy the transfer case.
