toolbox/manual security

Last summer i didn't have too much of a problem with leaving some of my own things hidden under the dash when my top was off, but I'd really like a safer alternative
I was mainly thinking a toolbox, anything smaller and i wouldn't be able to leave my tennis racket in it. I was wondering what all you guys have done for security with your top off. I mentioned manual security in the title to exclude anything with alarms or whatnot. With the roll bar in the way behind the back seat what have you done? And i don't know too much about toolboxes in the first place, what kind of permanent damage will be in the bed, etc.
thanks

I tacked two bolts onto the floor in the back of my 4runner, then i took a decent sized ATV plastic tool box with lock latches on it and drilled holes in the bottom. The bolts come up through the bottom of the box and i secured it inside with nuts so you cant unbolt it. Its safe enough for where i live. then i just put locks on the latches. No real damage to the bed, just grind them out if you ever need too.
