tire and rim size
Hello Toyoters...got a ? for ya. I have a 1989 4x4 pickup SR5 and was wondering how large of tire I can put on with out any modifications. Thanks Rob...also I'm still looking for a ECU 10-18-24 pin configuration for a 89 V6 3VZE

I'm pretty sure if you crank the torsion bars up about an inch, then you can fit 35's, or maybe 38's without any rubbing. But with larger tires, you have to increase your drive shaft diameter to cope with the added weight of the larger tires, and the increased effort to turn them. After that, you may notice that your ride is a little sluggish, so you may want to do a simple mod that yields almost 15 horsepower. this involves drilling a small hole on top of your throttle body. It fools the sensors to thinking that your cruise control is malfunctioning, and you may need to add some fluid to that. If, however you do not want to do those simple mods, then you may want to search.

33x10.50 some minor "fine tuning" in the inner fender will clear them.
Possibly even a 34x10.50 but anything wider and you need some lift or make some room with the sawzall

you can go to 31s and not have a large power loss, you can fit 33x10.50 but it will be slugish unless you regear, but it can be done.
