Timing Chain Kit

Hey guys,
I think I've narrowed my engine issues down and am now looking at getting a timing chain kit. I have two in question here. First is an eBay one and it'll run me about $60 http://cgi.ebay.ca/TOYOTA-TIMING-CHA...item5883b70e88

Next is what some people would say is higher quality/better kit. It'll run me about $150 http://www.importcarpartscanada.ca/ShopByVehicle.epc?q=1987-Toyota-Pickup--Base--Standard--Cab--Pickup-Engine--Mechanical&yearid=1987%40%401987&makeid=76%40%40TO YOTA%40%40X&modelid=8163%3ADT|8%3ABT|17%3AMBC|1785 %3AED|393%3ASM|20%3AEB|1117%40%40Pickup+Base+Stand ard+Cab+Pickup&catid=240154%40%40Engine+Mechanical &subcatid=240300@@Timing+Gear+Kit&mode=PA

So my question is has anybody had any experience with the cheaper eBay kit? Do you think it's garbage and I should definitely spend the extra cash? Or should the eBay kit be fine?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Red face

I always use engine builder kits .

I always have one kit on hand as I have a fleet of Toyotas

If it is the first time I am in there I always install new oil pump water pump and have a new timing cover just in case

Thanks for the replies, I heard that those metal backed guides are the ones to get. I have sent off an email to engnbldr about their shipping, but I don't believe they ship to Canada. A friend of a friend is a mechanic and can get a deal on the oem one for $120 and I'll have it within a few days. The snow is going to be here soon so the sooner the better haha. I'm also going to the dealership today to price up an e-brake cable so I'll get a price on the timing chain kit too..should be good for a laugh.

EDIT: I just got an email back and they do ship to Canada. I'll be looking into getting one of these kits then! thanks guys

Awesome! I'm on the other coast, Nova Scotia to be exact. Just ordered my engnbldr kit today so hopefully it won't be too long.
Thanks for all the help,
Cheers
