throttle return spring.
Guys, just replaced hg, water pump, oil pump, and weber 32/36. my throttle spring wont return all the way down, I've searched all over cant find any new ones for sale, is there another way to set up a weber 32/36. I've cleaned spring and still nothing.

Im not familiar with your weber carb. I do know about the old holleys , carter afbs and that sort of thing. I had the same problem with my f150. The return spring wasn't strong enough any more. Its a 95 5.8 and ford doesn't offer the spring anymore so I went to napa and found a return spring for a carb that with a little reworking works just fine. I had to rebend one end and use bailing wire for the other, but since its a ford, its used to bailing wire.........

Yep just pick up a universal one from any autoparts store and clip / bend it to fit your current setup. Worked perfectly for me fixing the worn out one.
Mine is EFI, though I doubt it makes a difference.

I bought a bag of assorted ones at AutoZone for maybe $5-10, found one that was closest then tweaked it a few times, cutting off coils to make it a littler stronger, until it closed the throttle crisply.
