Throttle body gasket.
I am replacing my idle air control valve tomorrow (thanks to anotherjeff) and will have to pull off my TB to do so. I had it off just a few months ago and replaced the TB gasket at that time, so I was wondering if it is truely necessary that I do so again? The reason I ask is that none of the local autoparts places carry it so I would have to drive out 20 miles to the dealer. Your input would be greatly appreciated!

if the gasket isnt still in good shape, you could probably get a sheet or 2 of gasket material from any auto part store and cut one yourself, thats what me and a friend did when we rebuilt the carb on his '70 c-10 a few weeks ago

Sheet of Gasket material = $5
Saving $50 on gaskets....
AWESOME
Its kind of an art to making good gaskets, just takes a little practice and a very sharp razor blade... well worth it!
