For those that have done their 3vze timing belt...
Is a good idea to change the timing cover gaskets, or are they usually fine to just re-use?
I don't have mine apart yet, and am trying to get all my parts ordered before I get going on this.
Thanks in advance!

covers are fine, but dont' just do the belt. replace the idler bearings cam and crank seals water pump and if you have a hydrolic tensioner inspect it make sure its not leaking. Its not worth taking it apart putting it back together to have either one of the other components fail 10,xxx or 20,xxx miles down the road.

I tried to find those "seals", no luck. Mine were compressed and hardened, but, all they really do is keep some of the dust out of there. If you find them, let us know. I don't expect to be back in there for a long time, but, you never know.
As said above, buy the kit that has the belt, tensioner, idler, and water pump. Do it all when you are in there. Also, get a new T-stat from the dealer.
Good luck.

Now that I've really been looking for these- All of the dealers that use the trademotion site to sell Toyota OEM parts seem to have them...
Like partznet.com
toyota of dallas' parts site etc etc
I have also seen a few full gasket kits on ebay and other sites that come with them as well.
Thanks again for the help guys!
