Can some please help me out? A short while ago I had a problem with my temp guage going immeadiately to red after starting. Soon after it just stopped working. Today I changed my temp sender and noticed that its began doing the same thing. Also it would blow the EFI fuse everytime it went to red . I thought previously that there was a break in my o2 sensor line/harness as to why the EFI fuse would blow. But now it seems that its from the temp sender, what is the relationship of the temp sender and the EFI fuse? Please, I'm opened to all and and any suggestions.

it looks like your efi circuit and temp sending circuit could be together or close to eachother so they could be shorting out from eachother, i guess that could be a start or maybe you have a bad thermostat and when you guage hits red line it shorts the efi circuit to ground to cut off fuel to shut the motor down? i doubt that one but its possible

Here is an update, I unplugged the o2 sensor but plugged in the temp sender and after about 5 minutes of idle the efi fuse blew. However when unplugged the temp sender I was able to drive it with no problems.

I found the problem!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the group of wires ( temp sender, cold start, fuel injectors wires) that rest as a bundle on top of the fuel rail. The underside of the bundle of wires had begun rubbing through the insulation. WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to all that offered suggestions.
