Do you break/ bend a lot of idler arms? Is a Downey idler arm brace not strong enough for your needs? In my parts of the world, I could probably replace complete idler arm about 10x at the wrecker yard before it would be more cost effective to go to TC idler arm.
If the answer is no, then probably not. I'm planning on getting a Downey Idler arm truss, and if that doesn't do it, its brass bushings for me.

You'll still need to get the brass bushings, the downey brace won't do anything to help with how fast you will wear out the plastic bushings.

If you aren't breaking it, why replace it ?
Simply get the Downey brace and call it done for now.
