T bar delete? Any ideas
I have a 93 regular cab v6 with a 4" rough country lift on 33's. I want to get rid of the T bars but I don't want to spend a lot of money to do it. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

The stock control arms are obviously designed for using t-bars. If you change this to something else like coils (i'm assuming), then you will need to do some fabrication in order to safely change how the control arms support the load of your vehicle in a way they were not designed to do. If it were cheap and easy to do, you'd see it documented all over the place. You can cheap out and do it yourself with a little HF flux welder too...but is that really saving you if you have to pay the ultimate price when your homebrew IFS falls apart at 65mph on your shakedown run before you have time to even toss a simple roll cage in your old Toyota with no airbags?
The easiest and quickest way I know of is to buy a long travel kit that can use coilovers, or to SAS.
Never heard of the Tacoma IFS swap onto a pickup - where's this going on at? Looking for future options to upgrade my old Hilux.

I had all the Tacoma Front end parts given to me for helping do a SAS!!
87 4x4 pick up that needed Major Suspension work .
When you can weld and Fabricate most anything can be done .
The only tricky part was the two different frame size Transition to make it look factory
The steering shaft to the rack was interesting but it turned out ok

The other option, which BTW, is far from cheap, is to get a kit that converts the front end into a coil over front end...
i.e. Long Travel Kit.
If you have to ask - you probably can't afford it.
You can probably get a decent Tacoma for the cost of the kit (and thats before the LABOR of installing it - its not bolt on, its weld up)
