Super sensitive gauge?
I just noticed the other night that when I have the turn signals on, the voltmeter moves with the flashes! I got home and then turned the signals on again and did it again. I then turned off the headlights and the gauge went up a bit, then I cliked the signal arm forward for the brights and then turned on the headlights again, and the gauge went down even more then before. The gauge barely twitches though, it's not that significant, but its noticeable. I'm not sure if this indicates something or not, but I sure would appreciate the help. I have a video of it but I don't know how to post it.....

Thanks I feel better about it now, it had me worried! The only thing is though, look at the difference when the rear defroster is off versus when its on. 1st pic defroster off, 2nd pic defroster on

There was a writeup on someone that replaced the the power wire to the fuse box and maybe some other stuff and got completly rid of this on his 4runner ive been trying to find it but cant remember the posters name or the topic he used. Maybe someone with better searching skills will come along and make me look dumb and post a link to it.

anything that uses over a certain amount of power makes the gauge move, with my 100/80W hella H4 bulbs on stock wires, it uses the same power on the gauge as yotaman90's defroster does. and when i signal, it's the same, it moves only slightly. the only way i know to reduce it, is switch as many lights to LEDs as you can.

Ok I finally found the write up. He was having the same gauge problem you guys described and was able to fix it.
