Suffication of white smoke.

Running a 22RE and it just spews white smoke like crazy, I checked the compression and it was all normal because I thought I had a bad head gasket. I took off my exhaust manifold and found that the area where Cylinder number 4 is leaking a oil/maybe water mix out into the exhaust. Thats all ive looked into for now, Im thinking of taking off the head to get a better look. If anyone has a idea it would be excellent and much appreciated.

If you sure its got 100% good compression for good fire then yea possible cracked head. Seems like someone ran it hot once upon a time and not realizing most toyotas have aluminum cyl heads they warp and crack. Do a compression check again and link it too us on here. Sure its not the headgasket? check again. If its white smoke all day then its buring coolant or leaking it into the cumbustion cahmber somehow. Its either cracked head or head gasket. If its a cracked head your looking at big money..... unless coolant is leaking from the intake manifold area where it cools. that gasket could be broke where coolant runs in the manifold for cooling and leaking over into on of the runners..

I found a place in Colorado last year that had new heads for $350. If it turns out to be a head hit me up and I will dig up the info. Hope it turns out to be a gasket instead.

Whether it's a cracked head or a blown HG you'll be pulling that cylinder head off for inspection. With all that white smoke blowing out the tail pipe, it one or the other for sure and will need repaired.

I'd go with engnblder's head if you have to replace it. Ted is a standup guy and great to work with.
