strange power problem

I have an odd ball problem. When ever I start the truck up it runs fine, shortly after it feels like the power cuts out. Its as though the spark is good and then goes to crap. I tested this out on the road by turning my ignition off and then back on while in gear. Afterwords, I'll give it gas and it sounds solid then a few seconds later its like the power just drops out of it.

The setup is a 22r with a weber 32/36. The coil has been change to a accell super stack performance coil. I checked the resistance on the coil and its on par with a new one.

This has gotten progressively more common and happens almost always where as before I would get some drive time in before it cut the power out.

any suggestions on where to start hunting for this?

thanks

turns out the insulation around the wires running from the distributor to the ignition module had exposed ground wire. The insulation got burnt off by a previous incident and it was laying down close to the exhaust manifold. problem solved.

Can you be more specific about the wires? Was it the ground wire leaving the distributor? Based on info I have there is no direct connection from the distributor to the igniter.
