stock 22re egr bolt size?

i did a search from my mobile and i dont have my FSM with me. Does anyone know what the stock size for the bolts are on the egr behind the intake manifold? the 2 bolts that were on mine were different sizes and one of the bolts are stripped. So im replacing both with the right size.

take any 12mm bolt off your truck (like the one on your skid plate) and take it in and measure the size/thread pitch, then all you need to know is the length....

why can't you take your current good one in and measure it?????

They are M8x1.25mm, length varies. The three bolts are not all the same. One is different. I lost my own and picked up some at 30mm lengths. A little too long so I just put some spacers and all is well. I think stock woulda been 25mm lengths. Anything in that truck that a 12mm socket will remove is probably a M8x1.25mm. Good luck.

I tried. It's stripped so bad I couldnt get a good measurement. The other bolt is not even the same size.

the three bolts you're talking about. Are those the one that attaches the EGR to the head? because i need the ones for the one that attaches to the rear of the throttle body. Should be the same size, right?

So not the 3 bolts that attach to the head, but rather the two bolts that attach the EGR to the back of the upper manifold? The ones that screw in from the backside and the holes are thru correct?

If so, those are going to be M6x1.25, which use a 10mm wrench to remove.
You'll run across mostly M8x1.25 which are the 12mm bolts,
M6x1.25 which are the 10mm bolts and
M10x1.25 which are the 14mm bolts.

Those holes are thru so length isn't a limiting factor but those do not need to be too long. No longer than 20mm I would think.

The M# is the actual bolt diameter in millimeters.
The x#.## is the thread pitch of the bolt itself.

Hope this helps.

one of the bolts is a thru bolt. the other isnt and needs to be a certain length.

you sure they're 6x1.25 ? I went to autozone for a thermostat and checked the bolts section and didn't see any 6x1.25. I tried my hardest to test the bolt in the hole things, and it's stripped so bad I see it fits in either an 8x1.25 or an 8x1.0

I'm thinking it may be m8x1.25 like Jipopotamo suggested
