Still having problems with my 4runner
I have an 1989 Toyota 4runner, I live in Southern california. It has about 240k miles on it. The problem: It stalls randomly, when i am idleing at about 700-800 rpms on the stop lights. When it stalls it doesn't want to start. Sometimes it will take about two or three tries, and other times it will take hours for it to want to start again. I already replaced the fuel filter, coil and coil igniter( little box on top of the coil). The problem still persists. I will take it to my mechanic tomorrow (I am too stressed to work on the runner) but i will really appreciate some information on what the problem might be. When it stalls and doesn't want to start, i took the coil cable that goes to the distributor to check for spark and there was none. If you have any other questions please ask and i will try to give u more info on the truck's behavior. Thank you! Peace to all! Also, thanks to all the members that have helped in my prior posts... i seem to be needing your expertise one more time.
*edit: i got some info that i should look into the pick up coil... any other info would be greatly appreciated..
