Steering Gearbox

My power steering gearbox leaks like crazy from the input shaft.

I have a new seal on order from Toyota, will that fix the problem? Or should I just pony up the ~$200 and get a reman?

I went to the dealership to get this part and they told me I had to buy the back portion of the gear box. Something outrageous like $700. I put a bottle of trans stop leak and that fixed it for a couple months. Now it leaks so Im gonna buy a re-man.

What kinda fluid are you using? ATF or steering fluid?

Steering fluid WILL make your box leak...I've seen a box with new seals leak within hours using steering fluid....

It came with a bottle of PS in it, so I used that for a while, I think it greatly exacerbated the leak.

you may be okay flushing everything out then changing the seal you were going to change, then just using ATF.
See how that goes before you ante up for a new box.
